I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot Password" and follow the email instructions. If you signed up with Apple or Google, there is no Hedgepal password — just use that same sign-in button.

Can I change the email on my account?

Yes. In the app go to Settings > Account > Email and enter your new address. You will need to verify the new email before the change takes effect.

What do I get with Hedgepal Premium?

How do I subscribe to Premium?

Open the app and go to Settings > Upgrade to Premium. Payment is handled securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — Hedgepal never sees your card details.

Does my subscription work on all my devices?

Yes. Premium is tied to your Hedgepal account, so signing in on any device with the same account gives you full access. If it does not appear, use "Restore Purchases" in Settings.

How do I restore my purchase?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings > Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought Premium with. Your access is re-activated instantly.

I paid but Premium is not unlocked — what do I do?

First try Settings > Restore Purchases. If that does not work, make sure the device is signed in to the same App Store / Google Play account used for the purchase. Still stuck? Email hello@hedgepal.app with your receipt and we will sort it out.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not inside Hedgepal. On iPhone: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Hedgepal > Cancel. On Android: Google Play > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Hedgepal > Cancel. Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.

Will I be charged after I cancel?

No. Cancelling stops all future charges. You keep Premium access until the current billing period ends, then your account automatically moves to the free tier.

Do I lose my data if I cancel or downgrade?

Accepted Answer

Never. All your logged meals, history, and goals are kept on the free tier. You only lose access to premium-only features until you resubscribe.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are processed by the store you purchased through. For Apple, request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, use the order history in the Play Store. If you need help with the process, email hello@hedgepal.app.

I can't sign in to my account

Reset your password via "Forgot Password", or if you registered with Apple or Google, use exactly that sign-in method. Signing in with a different method creates a separate account, which is the most common cause of "missing" data.

My data seems to have disappeared

Accepted Answer

You are most likely signed in to a different account than the one holding your data. Sign out, then sign back in with the original method (email vs Apple vs Google). Your data is safe in the cloud and will reappear.

How do I sign out?

Go to Settings > Account > Sign Out in the app. Signing out does not delete anything — your data stays in the cloud until you sign back in.

How do I delete my account and all my data?

In the app, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account and confirm. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers within 30 days. You can also email hello@hedgepal.app to request deletion.

Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

No — subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel there first (see "How do I cancel my subscription?"). Deleting the Hedgepal account alone does not stop store billing.

Can I recover a deleted account?

No. Deletion is permanent once the 30-day processing window completes. If you change your mind within that window, contact hello@hedgepal.app as soon as possible.
